These lampwork glass earrings have a base of ivory and are twisted with browns and oranges. They live on all sterling silver findings and are accented with crystals. Just in time for fall!
And we’re finally getting some fall like weather here–it actually sprinkled last night. First precipitation we’ve had all summer it feels like! I heard something that sounded like rain, but hadn’t paid attention to the news or weather lately, so imagine my surprise and delight when I opened the slider to the confirming sound and amazing smell of rain!
I went out and just stood in it–the air was still fairly warm, but there is that wonderful little nip easing its way into the night and now morning temps…….which means ski season is on its way too!!! Yipppppppeeeeee! Can you tell I love to ski?
I think the whole area will be doing the mighty best moonwalk, robot, sambas and whatever other snow dance they know that will appease the snow gods after last years miserly snowfall. We just need to recharge our water storage too.
But for now, enjoying nature’s preparation for winter is enchanting. Walking though the forest, with leaves rustling and drifting down with the wind, seeing the sudden flaring of gold in shivering pockets of aspen groves on the hillsides, Starbuck’s bringing back my favorite–Pumpkin Spice Latte–yeah, fall is a wonderful season.
And fall tends to be short and fleeting in Reno; one good biting frost and whoomp, brown hillsides and dull skies. But the glorious time of sweet warm days and cool nights is delicious in its own right, and I know I will be enjoying this time to the fullest, even it that does include dancing in the rain on the back porch!
Smiles, Sheri
