I had an order for some 4th of July beads that needed to be made and delivered before the customer went out of town on a holiday. It was so nice to play with these 3 vibrant and stiff transparent colors–red cobalt and clear, while using white for accents only. I used the white core on a gravity swirl bead, since it “runs” easier than other colors.

Of course, it always helps to take off the glasses when choosing red glass! I made about 3 or 4 beads before I realized my goof. (Having my friend Jenn over for the first time to my studio, chatting and distracting me, drinking Capri Sun fruit punch Cosmo’s didn’t help much either……….but we sure had fun!!!)
